Proposal and invoice tool for videographers
A cancelled Saturday with no deposit is your gear hire to wear
A shoot date is booked once something is paid. Send the packages with the licence and the cancellation window; on approval the deposit lands and the date is held before a lens is hired, and the balance is due on the same link ahead of the final cut.

Sound familiar?
A cancellation two days out
You blocked out a Saturday, hired a lens and booked an assistant. The client cancels on Thursday night, and without a deposit paid, the prep and the gear hire are yours to wear.
One promo becomes four deliverables
The job was a sixty second promo. Then they want a vertical cut for Reels, captions baked in and a version with different music, and each small ask is another evening in the edit that nobody priced.
They think the raw footage comes with it
Delivery day turns into an argument about a hard drive. The client assumed every clip was theirs, copyright included, because paying for a video feels like buying it.
The solution
How VytDeal helps
A deposit that holds the date
Set the deposit at any percentage up to full payment. The default is 30 percent, and many videographers take half to lock in a date. Your client pays it on the page at approval, and pays the balance on the same page before the final cut goes out.
Day rate or project price, cuts and rounds listed
A half day of five hours or a full day of ten sits as a package with a day rate. A wedding film sits as a project price. Each package lists the deliverables, the revision rounds, commonly two or three, and the delivery timeline.
Raw footage and the licence as priced lines
Raw footage, a vertical cut and music licensing sit as one-off lines beside the package, so a client who wants every clip pays for every clip. Your usage licence, naming platform, territory and duration, sits in your terms.
A GST line and a bank transfer for the big balance
The invoice is created at approval with GST as its own line if you charge it. Offer bank transfer, BPAY or PayID beside card, so a large balance can arrive without a card. Your client marks it paid and you confirm it against your statement.
How it works
Three steps to getting paid
Build the page after the discovery call
Add your packages, the deposit percentage, the revision rounds and your terms, cancellation window included. Raw footage and extra cuts go in as lines beside them.
Send one link
Your client sees the packages laid out on a page, not a PDF buried in a thread, and picks one. No account, no login. You can see whether the page has been opened.
Deposit in, then shoot
Approval creates the invoice and the deposit is paid in the same visit, so the Saturday is locked before you book the assistant. Shoot, then cut.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I take a deposit now and hold the final cut until the balance clears?
Yes. The deposit is paid on the page at approval. Mark the job delivered when the cut is ready; the balance comes due on the page and the file goes once it is paid. Nothing obliges you to send the final cut before the balance lands.
Can raw footage and the usage licence be priced separately?
Yes. Raw footage sits as a one-off line beside the package, and so does an extended licence or a music licence. The licence wording lives in your terms, and the client accepts the lot in one approval.
Do my cancellation terms and non-refundable deposit bind when the client approves?
The cancellation window, the fee for cancelling inside it and the words non-refundable go in your terms, and the client ticks them before the deposit is taken. The record is dated and carries those terms in full, so a Thursday night cancellation is answered from the page. A code sent to the client's email ties the approval to them, if you require it. It is a record of acceptance, not a contract or an e-signature; the contract stays yours and no legal advice comes with the page.
How does a client pay a five figure balance without a card?
Offer bank transfer, BPAY or PayID on the deal. The client pays from their own bank, marks the payment made on the page, and you confirm it once it shows on your statement. GST, if you charge it, is its own line on the invoice.
Can one page carry both a day rate and a project price?
Yes. A half day shoot can be one package with a day rate and a full production another with a project price. One-off lines such as travel or an assistant sit beside whichever they choose.
