What the client reads

This is the wording the template arrives with. Yours replaces it.

Hand lettered names for your guests, written one at a time: envelopes addressed in calligraphy, or place cards with each guest's name. Each package is priced for 100 pieces, with the rate for each piece shown, so the total follows your guest list. You send the envelopes and the address list, I write and return them ready to post, and a minimum spend applies to small orders.

Deposit, then balance

How it gets paid

50% is due when the client approves, and the balance when you mark the work delivered. Both payments happen on the same link the proposal is on.

Card or bank transfer, and you choose which per deal. If you want a package to bill every month instead of once, you set that on the package itself when you build the deal, and the client can cancel it from their own link.

Prices are a starting point in Australian dollars. Change the figures, the inclusions and the number of packages to suit what you sell.

What approving the page records

The starting terms

These sit above the approve button. The client reads them, and approving records that they accepted them.

The booking. The deposit holds your writing date; the balance is due before the pieces return. The minimum spend is $150.
Final numbers. Final numbers close on the writing date; then they may rise, at the rate per piece above, not fall.
Your list. Names and addresses come as a spreadsheet, one column per line, spelled as written. It is final once sent; changing a written piece is a new piece at the same rate.
Envelopes and spares. Your envelopes reach me before the writing date with 15 to 20 percent spare, for rewriting slips. A spelling of mine that differs from your list is rewritten free.
Ink and paper. You sign off a sample of the style and ink before writing starts. Hand lettering varies a little piece to piece, and some coated envelopes refuse ink, so I test one first.
Lead times and return. Writing takes about 10 working days from the list and envelopes. A rush, if I can fit it, adds 25 percent of the price. Return post is at cost, or collect free.
Copyright. Mine; your lettering is for personal use, this event only. My portfolio may show it without guest details unless you opt out.
GST and loadings. Prices include GST where it applies. Holiday rates show above with their days, never stacked; if none is shown, none applies. Card payment adds no fee.
Date moves. One move within 12 months of the booked date keeps all paid if I am free, less costs bought at cost; else the scale runs from your request. Written names stay yours.
Cannot deliver. If for any reason I cannot deliver, I offer an equal stationer you approve, or refund all paid.
Cancellation. In writing; I keep only the real loss. With 14 days notice or more before the writing date, all is refunded less sample time at $75 an hour, hours shown, up to the deposit. With 3 to 13 days, I keep the price less what refilling the date earns and costs saved, up to the deposit. Under 3 days, or once writing starts, each piece written at its rate, the rest less refill and costs saved, such as cards and ink not used, never more than the payments due.
