The scope

What the client reads

This is the wording the template arrives with. Yours replaces it.

Everything guests read on the day itself, from menus and place cards to a welcome sign, designed to match your invitations. Each package is priced for 100 guests and lists its pieces: Basic has no table numbers or seating chart, which Styled and Statement add, and each extra 10 guests is added at the rate shown. Signs are sized for your guest count, and each package names the board they are printed on, so you know what can stand outdoors and what must stay inside.

Deposit, then balance

How it gets paid

50% is due when the client approves, and the balance when you mark the work delivered. Both payments happen on the same link the proposal is on.

Card or bank transfer, and you choose which per deal. If you want a package to bill every month instead of once, you set that on the package itself when you build the deal, and the client can cancel it from their own link.

Prices are a starting point in Australian dollars. Change the figures, the inclusions and the number of packages to suit what you sell.

What approving the page records

The starting terms

These sit above the approve button. The client reads them, and approving records that they accepted them.

  • Booking. The deposit fixes the print date. The balance is due on your sign off of the final proof; paper is bought only after that payment.
  • Name list and final numbers. Names, tables and menu come as a spreadsheet 21 days before the event, the print date; final numbers then may rise at the extra 10 rate above, not fall. Later changes: $3 a reprinted card or menu, a sign at cost.
  • Proofs. Package rounds included, then $25 each. Written sign off on the final proof is final: before print, a change is $40, or a $25 round after 24 hours; after print, your error is reprinted at cost, mine free.
  • Colour and boards. Screen colour differs from print; a printed proof is quoted if asked. Acrylic and foamboard stay indoors; corflute can go outside. Unavailable stock becomes equal or better, told first.
  • Lead times. They run from sign off; a rush adds 25 percent.
  • Delivery. Pieces reach you or your venue 3 days before; setting out is yours unless shown.
  • Copyright. Mine; your stationery is for personal use, this event only. My portfolio may show it without guest details unless you opt out.
  • GST and loadings. Prices include GST where it applies. Holiday rates show above with their days, never stacked; if none is shown, none applies. Card payment adds no fee.
  • Date moves. One move within 12 months of the booked date keeps all paid if I am free, less costs bought at cost; else the scale runs from your request; a new date on printed pieces is a reprint at cost.
  • Cannot deliver. If for any reason I cannot deliver, I offer an equal stationer you approve, or refund all paid.
  • Cancellation. In writing; I keep only the real loss. With 14 days notice or more before the print date, all is refunded less design time at $75 an hour, hours shown, up to the deposit. With 3 to 13 days, I keep the price less what refilling the date earns and costs saved, up to the deposit. Under 3 days, or once paper or boards are bought after the sign off payment, the price less refill and costs saved, such as signs not yet made, never more than the payments due.

Approving this page records that you accepted this scope, this price and these terms.

Starting terms, not legal advice. Read them, change what does not match how you work, and have a lawyer look at them if the work is large enough to warrant it. Your own default terms in Settings replace these automatically.
